About This Event
At a time when many Catholics feel discouraged by declining Mass attendance, confusion within the culture, and the challenges facing family and parish life, Fr James Grant argues that the Church must recover a spirit of confidence, creativity, and mission. Drawing on his experience as a priest, author, chaplain, and missionary, Fr James will speak about what he calls “Creative Catholicism” — a practical and hopeful vision for renewing Catholic life in Australia. Fr James Grant is a Catholic priest of the Ordinariate in Australia, author, speaker, and founder of several Catholic initiatives including Chaplains Without Borders and Catholics in Business. Before becoming a Catholic priest, he served for many years as an Anglican priest in Australia and overseas before being received into the Catholic Church and ordained in 2012. Fr James has worked extensively in chaplaincy, youth outreach, parish renewal, and Catholic mission initiatives throughout Australia. He has served as chaplain to Melbourne Victory Football Club and hosts the “Creative Catholicism” podcast. This promises to be an evening of good conversation, fellowship, and faith. We hope you’ll join us! Dinner available for pre-purchase only (deadline July 9th) Drinks can be ordered on the night. Dinner is $35 and includes: Main (choose from): *Smoked Beef Brisket 12 hour slow roast; *Roast chicken; *Vegetarian Zucchini and Fetta Fritata; *Vegan Roasted Red Capsicum with Pumpkin and Char-Grilled Vegetables.
